Traditional Japanese Kimonos
Whilst the Japanese Kimonos shown are all traditional kimonos, the syles have been cut to suit Western tastes. Kimonos usually come in three sizes - full length, XL or Wrapper sizes.
Full length traditional Japanese Kimonos come down to the ankle, the XL traditional Japanese Kimonos rest just below the knee whist the Wrapper Japanese Kimono will sit just above the knee.
Traditional Japanese Kimonos have been making a comeback on the Japanese fashion catwalks. In recent years, a shorter happi coat has appeared for the younger generation. Coming just below the waist these kimonos have taken the designs on the traditional Japanese Kimonos and adapted them for more modern times with additional kimono accessories and a new cut to the garment.
